2 meth labs found; information wanted

    Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies have cleaned up two meth labs in the last couple of weeks and are looking for the owners.
    On Jan. 30, Sgt. Tim Elmore responded to a call on Back Street in Petros. When he found what appeared to be the components of a meth lab, Narcotics Officer Jimmy Markwood was called in to assist.
    Then on Feb. 2, Markwood obtained a consent to search a residence at 218 Barnett Bridge Road in Lancing.
    According to Sheriff Glen Freytag, Markwood and Deputy Brandon Davis found the components of a meth lab behind the residence. Charges are pending in that incident against an unnamed person.
    Both incidents remain under investigation and Freytag said his officers are looking for information that can lead to an arrest.
