Freels questions county’s spending decisions

To the Editor:
    What is wrong with 18 commissioners? For one thing they have $80,000 appropriated. If we cut that number in half we’ll cut that part of the budget by 50 percent.
    It is understandable for someone to not want to vote themselves out of a job but it is not our government’s responsibility to provide government jobs for our people. They had a chance to reduce those numbers last fall but chose not to.
