Coalfield band practices

The Coalfield Band has been getting ready for a new season for several weeks. David Williams, director, held band camp for one week at the end of summer vacation and extra practices before school began.
Although they are a young band with no instrument players past 10th grade, Mr. Williams is enthusiastic about the coming year. The band will play at the Sept. 1, 1989 football game and may be ready for a halftime show by the second or third home ballgame. They also plan to march in some parades and present Christmas and spring concerts.
