  • Ridgeview receives Joint Commission reaccreditation

        Ridgeview has earned Behavioral Health Care Accreditation from The Joint Commission. The reaccreditation demonstrates Ridgeview’s commitment to the coordination of behavioral health care services through a rigorous process of external validation by a recognized expert in the field.

  • Together Morgan County provides books

        Together Morgan County, the Morgan County Community Collaborative,  recently provided books for waiting areas in Morgan County. Books were placed at Morgan County Medical Center, Morgan County Health Department and Coalfield Medical Center. Anyone wishing to add books to their waiting areas can contact Together Morgan County to make arrangements. It is the goal of Together Morgan County for children to have access to books and for adults to read to them whenever possible.

  • Holiday cheer brought to Life Care Center

        Life Care Center of Morgan County residents and staff express sincere appreciation for all who visited and brought seasonal cheer throughout the holiday season. It was a delight to both the residents and the staff.
        Life Car always appreciates the community and volunteer support they receive throughout the year.

  • Morgan County’s Anderson, youngest county commissioner in state serves as page on Senate floor

        Last week State Sen. Ken Yager had the youngest county commissioner in the state, Eli Anderson, as his page on the Senate floor for the first day of the 11th General Assembly. Anderson, age 18, is a senior at Wartburg Central High School and represents the sixth district on the Morgan County Commission.

  • TMLF committee seeks 2019 festival ideas

        What would you like to see at the 5th Annual Tennessee Mountain Laurel Festival?
        This year is the 5th Anniversary of the Tennessee Mountain Laurel Festival. May 18 is the date and the festival committee needs your help. What would you like to see at the festival? What do you think should be done to make this event special? All ideas are welcome so don’t be shy. Share your ideas. Let the committee know what you would like see to help make the event even more special than the past four years.

        Would you like to showcase your specialties for the people of Morgan County?
        An event is being planned that requires food to be served as a uniquely special dinner, with all the trimmings.
        Planning has begun for this event that will be hosted in September 2019.
