    Stephanie Paxton and Joshua Hamby were united in married in a 5:30 p.m. ceremony on July 31, 2010 at Twin Cedar Farm in Rockford. The bride is the daughter of James and Arlene Paxton of Lancing. The groom is the son of Anthony Hamby and Kathy Hamby. Robbie Freels officiated at the ceremony. They are making their home in Lancing.

    Hello, my name is Peyton Charles King. I turned two on August 20th. The next day, I had a choo-choo party, otherwise known as a Thomas the Train birthday party.   • McKameys have daughter

    The proud parents Ronnie and Karen Sue McKamey are announcing the birth of Katelyn Sue McKamey on August 2, 2010 at 1:33 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs, 2 oz and was 21 inches long. She is the granddaughter of Willie and Freida Carroll of Devonia and Paul and Anna Lou McKamey of Caryville. She is the great-granddaughter of Sammie Carroll of Denonia and Douie Ward of Caryville. The parents would like to thank everyone for the prayers and gifts.

  • Lawson Graduates Citadel

    2nd Lt. Matthew Lawson, son of Gary and Karen Lawson of Charleston, S. C., (formerly of Mossy Grove), received his B. A. in Education and was commissioned on May 8, 2010 at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina in Charleston, S. C. Matthew had previously completed basic parachute school at Fort Benning and the Operation Warrior Forge course at Fort Lewis. Lawson will be initially assigned to the ordnance school at Fort Lee, Va., and then will join the 1st Infantry Division, “The Big Red One,” at Fort Riley, Kan.

    Wayne and Natalie Frasier are excited to announce the birth of their daughter, Lila Lynn Frasier. Lila arrived at 5:39 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Mercy West Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds and was 19-3/4 inches long. Her proud grandparents are Carlos and Melissa Stewart of Gobey, Steve and Cathy Cole of Mossy Grove and Randy Frasier of Gatlinburg. She is the great-granddaughter of Inez Coffey of Wartburg. Please join the family in welcoming this precious gift from God.
