        The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting driver license roadside safety checkpoint on December 31, 2013 on Highway 62 at Pettit Lane in Morgan County from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
        Recognizing the danger presented to the public by unqualified drivers, Troopers will concentrate their efforts on vehicles being operated by drivers who violate the driver license laws of Tennessee.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has found these roadside checkpoints to be an effective means of enforcing driver license laws of Tennessee while ensuring the protection of all motorists.

        The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on November 15, 2013 on US27 at Hwy 62 in Morgan County from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
        Recognizing the danger presented to the public by intoxicated drivers, Troopers will concentrate their efforts on vehicles being operated by intoxicated drivers.
        The Tennessee Highway Patrol has found these sobriety checkpoints to be an effective means of enforcing DUI laws of Tennessee while ensuring the protection of all motorists.

        Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Colonel Tracy Trott today announced that three people were killed in crashes involving deer in 2012. Colonel Trott cautions motorists to be watchful of deer during the fall and winter seasons, as an increase in deer-related crashes are likely during the months of October through December.
