• Jackson comments on Ruppe’s term in office

    To the Editor,
I began working in the County Executive Office in 1998 and was very fortunate to work for 3 people; Tommy Kilby, Ms. Alma Jones and Becky Ruppe.
I met Becky 12-1/2 years ago when she was working in the office, organizing a litter program for Morgan County. She worked, or was paid for, a few hours a week. She organized litter pick-ups on the weekends and went into the schools, etc. and got the program off the ground including the recycling.

  • Kries says thanks for PEC’s pocket change program

    To the Editor,
On behalf of the Deer Lodge Historical Society I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Plateau Electric Cooperative for their Operation Pocket Change Program and all the citizens that participate.
It costs no more than $12 a year at the most per meter.
This generates several thousand dollars that is distributed to qualifying non-profit organization. This has enabled us to complete several projects. And again I say THANKS.

  • Life Care director says thank you

    To the Editor,

  • Chamber director says thank you

    To the Editor:
I want to thank everyone who had a part in making the Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting a huge success. There was a large turnout; 72 people came together to elect a new Board of Directors, observe the graduation of the inaugural Youth Leadership Class, and the recognition of our businesses.
