State law prohibits campaign signs and campaigning within 100 feet of the door to the polling place. As early voting continues, the courthouse square has become crowded with candidates and their volunteers rallying for support. At least one complaint has been filed with the district attorney’s office about candidates allegedly breaking the 100-foot law.
DA gets Edwards complaint

At least one Morgan County resident has complained to 9th Judicial District Attorney Russell Johnson about alleged election boundary violations by County Executive Don Edwards.

Edwards, the citizen alleges, has been campaigning within the 100-foot boundary around the early voting location.

Edwards called the complaint unfounded and said it is an attempt by his opposition to throw a final jab and hurt his campaign before the election on Aug. 7.
