        Wartburg Public Library is pleased to announce a new partnership with Driving-Tests.org, one of the nation’s premier sites for driver’s license practice tests. This partnership will strengthen the library’s mission to be a vital gateway to information.

  • Capitol 3 Theatre offers lowest first run movie prices in Tennessee

        Phoenix Theatres announced a dramatic change in the ticket pricing for Capitol 3 Theatre in Oneida.
        As of Friday, June 8, Capitol 3 Theatre admission prices for new Hollywood movies are $5 for all seats, all shows, every day (tax not included). The price change makes Capitol 3 Theatre the lowest priced first-run cinema in Tennessee.

  • Fundraiser planned for two year old Jolee Manis July 21

        A fundraiser will be held for Jolee Manis and her family on Saturday, July 21, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Fairview Elementary School.
        The menu will consist of chicken and dumplings, green beans, mashed potatoes, roll, dessert and drink for $6. A bowl of dumplings and a roll for $3. Drinks alone are $1.

        A few weeks ago, my family stopped by the Obed Visitor Center to buy a National Park annual pass. This pass gets your car into just about any National Park for free, and we were about to head out west to visit a bunch of National Parks.

  • HTC’s Patterson elected President of TTA Providers

        Mark Patterson, General Manager and CEO of Highland Telephone Cooperative, has been elected President of the Tennessee Telecommunications Association’s Board.
        TTA represents 21 companies and cooperatives that provide broadband service to many rural areas of the state. They held their annual meeting earlier this month in Cool Springs.
